Did the tsunami trigger a domino effect?

It's storming in California.....

Did the tsunami trigger some huge domino effect because California is being pounded by horrible storms. Roads are washed out, rock slides, landslides. Some people are think there is a connection between the tsunami that left so many devastated and the current condition in California. Here are some photos of my neighborhood. The sandbags are a precaution that hopefully isn't in vain. We were flooded out of this area in Feb. 2001 and we're extremely worried that it might happen again in this next round of storms. We'll be watching and waiting.
